SLEA Releases New Website to Celebrate End of Another Year
SAN LORENZO, CA - The San Lorenzo Education Association this morning released a new website, www.weareslea.org, to celebrate the end of the 2023-2024 school year - ringing in yet another for its members.
The website, designed by San Lorenzo High Social Studies Teacher and SLEA Secretary-Elect James Aguilar, features easy-to-find contacts for union representatives, viewable documents negotiated between the district and SLEA bargaining teams, and a one-stop center for both news and steps members can take in political action.
'Leadership:' here you will find your union reps, the SLEA Executive Board, and members on SLEA committees.
'Contract:' here you will find all negotiable documents such as the bargaining agreement and salary schedule.
'Member Services:' here you will find CTA/NEA member benefits, as well as forms for members.
'News & Events:' here you will find press releases and SLEA newsletters.
'Take action with us!': here you will find ways the larger community can take political action for San Lorenzo teachers.
In a statement with this press release, SLEA President Karen Rosa said, "I'm excited to launch our new website so we can get our members the information they need, that is often hard to find on district webpages." It's a step forward, for sure, as SLEA works to expand its capacity and methods of communication.
